Booking Terms and Conditions

Your use of the village hall is subject to the following conditions:

An invoice for your use will be sent on acceptance of the booking.Payment is due before the event takes place.

In the event of cancellation, 48 hours notice is required or a nominal £10 fee will be levied.

The hall must be left clean and tidy after use. A fee of £30 will be incurred if this is not done or if you wish us to clean the hall on your behalf after an event.

The hirer will use best endeavours to avoid damage to the fabric and contents of the hall. The hall does not accept liability for loss of personal items brought into the hall.

The kitchen facilities (£7) include the use of water, crockery, dishwasher and ovens. Any damage is reportable.

Hirer and guests are requested to park with consideration to village residents and farm shop customers. Hirers are requested to respect the environment, not to leave litter, adhere to the village 20 mph limit and not to make any noise leaving the premises in the late evening.

The following health and safety precautions must be taken:

The number of people on the premises shall not exceed 50.

The means of escape must be kept free of obstructions at all times.

The emergency lighting supply showing all exits must be illuminated at all times.

Events involving danger to attendees or the public are prohibited.

Highly flammable substances shall not be brought on to the premises, nor any combustable decorations.

No unauthorised heating appliances shall be used.

The fire brigade shall be called immediately on the outbreak of any fire, however slight.

In advance of any booking, the hirer will be briefed on the location and use of fire extinguishers, on the escape routes and exits, and on the operation of the hall audiovisual equipment (if desired). The hirer shall check all fire exits are unlocked, are free of obstruction, are not wedged open and that there are no fire hazards present.
